Transportation

Reynolds Hills, about an hour from Manhattan, is easily accessible by car and also by Metro-North Railroad to the Peekskill station. A seven-minute taxi ride will then take you to the community. Some people take the train to Croton-on-Hudson and then rent cars; some keep a car for their cottage and buy annual parking passes for the Cortlandt station. Members have assigned parking as near to their cottage as possible. But some members do without cars entirely. A supermarket and a drug store with basic grocery items are within walking distance, there is reasonably good public transportation, and community members are happy to offer lifts to those who don’t drive.
